Arguably one of the best live acts hitting the Philippine bar scene.
Loud, raw, and overwhelming - these are the words you blurt out after each show.
Hard-hitting, gut-wrenching, and a true sight to look at, they up the ante on their music that is already engulfing with in-your-face performances and signature synchronized slams.
Faspitch has risen to be one of the definitive artists to definitely look out for in the region. Early on into their career, they have already achieved so much: touring the country, releasing the album, THE FUTURE OF EAR REPAIR (Lighter Records, 2005); showcasing a string of successful singles “Staying this Way”, “Dweller”, “Breathe”, and “A Day Before Pisces”; opening for punk-maestros NOFX, and most notably, performing in our Southeast-Asian neighbors, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
With all of these milestones, you’d forget that the music they create is an amalgamation of everything that has proven to be the most difficult to promote. From the heavy and rapid shifting, to the countless poundings on the drums, to the angry and somewhat emotional screams, Faspitch is truly a band that stands out for no other group has come against all these odds and made this much of an impact on the local gigging circuit, foreign or o.p.m.
However, the new golden boys of Cebu aren’t done yet. They are maintaining their ascent with the help of Sonic Boom Music and Events Management Inc. (formerly Lighter Records) and are set to release their second offering within the next few months, under Sonic Shape Records. This, along with more performances in major Asian music events such as Music Matters 08 (HK), Baybeats 08 (SG), Pulp Summerslam VIII (PH), plus an upcoming South China Tour, it’s almost safe to say that Henry, Trevor, Trick, OJ and Russell are set for international prominence.
