Highschool, is were almost everything in our lives have just begun. Cutting classes, hook ups, teenage drama, smoking, alcohol and the like. It is where our most formative years of music set in motion and in the year 2001 the band that is now known as Subscapular, then made no stranger to it. Through a handful of line-up changes, a name change and a little group of solid supporters Subscapular  (a name derived from a medical textbook, it just sounded right) was formed.

December of 2004 marked the start of the band that local music is yet to meet and be blown away by: Sam Saludsong on drums, Elias Saludsong on bass, Randy Gatbonton on lead guitars and Rod Tolentino vocals and second guitars. The following year, Subscapular took it all to the next level focused on nothing but creating excellent music and naturally developed themselves a rare maturity found  in young musicians that would eventually take a different direction from the kind of sound they’ve grown accustomed to. Embarking on an DIY release of their first recording attempt: a four-track e.p. entitled "Testing the Daylight.".

Forward to 2009, Subscapular take off on a renewed sense of power and unfalterted determination as their audience begins to swell, a new management and the release of their debut album under Sonic Boom’s mayhem master Alex Phatboy Lim’s independent record  label Sonic Shape Records entitled “Telefiction” rides high on the horizon.

hi guys

This is Randy From Subscapular. If u haven't heard of my band try watching our videos here on splintr.
By the way I play the lead guitar section for my band and I write lyrics for my band.
Right now I am still hyped with the new material we are trying to form right now. It has a more technical approach and
I am trying to compromise it with good melodic gayish lines..haha

I am trying to mix FrankMusic, Starting Line and Lamb Of God ( ang layo di ba?). Pero ayun..Hoping na mapagmix ko silang tatlo like what we did with our first album.
Ako kasi ung nagbibigay nang Indie, Punk and Pop influence dun...medyo metal kasi ung tatlo...pahirap sila sa riffs hahaha.
Actually we are done writing 2 songs already. It sounds very different from the album that we are gonna release (I'll talk about the upcoming Debut album Later).
Medyo Metal kasi , It's strummed like killswitch engage but with Pop Chords..

Well before getting Too Much Info on new songs. We are Promoting our Debut Album which is about to come out this year. Its called Telefiction under Sonic Shape Records and it has 10 Tracks.
The album was recorded during the end of 2007 and it has undergone critical mixing and very deep production. We recorded it at Kerplunk Studios and After listening to it for sometime,
The Hardwork with our Producers proved that it was totaly worth the wait (as for my opinion lang).

hello everyone!!
this is rod of subscap,vocals/guitars..i would like to thank splintr for the amazing videos they recorded and it was a blast!! prang music video nrin e.. =)

we are still workin on our new songs and writing new material for the 2nd album attempt. while im currently listening to FYS,MOntyareI,lamb of god,the starting line and many more.. pra sa mga matitinding inputs hehe..

we will be releasing our 1st debut album under sonic shape records! soon it will be announced! salamat ng marami sa pagaantay!! see you around!! kitakits sa mga tugtugan!! one love!
