Drip are one of the local scene’s most influential electronic acts, and after years of absence, they are finally back. They recently released their new single, “Rupture”. The new song is an exercise in simplicity with Beng Calma-Alcazeren’s ghostly vocals blending perfectly well with the soundscapes provided by Ian Magbanua. The brooding number then builds up to something much more cathartic. All in all, it’s an impressive track that bodes well for the band’s upcoming third album.
For those of you who missed them, Drip will be performing their comeback show tomorrow night at Route 196! The band will be sharing the stage with acts like Assembly Generals, Leo and The Tolstoys, She’s Only Sixteen, and many more. The show tomorrow night is also organized by the good folks over at Vandals on the Wall and Gabi Na Naman productions.
